SENIOR META-REVIEWER: How To Bid for Meta-Reviewers
OVERVIEW
Senior Meta-Reviewers can sometimes bid for Meta-Reviewers. Whereas Meta-Reviewers and Reviewers bid for papers, Senior Meta-Reviewers bid for Meta-Reviewers.
SENIOR META-REVIEWER CONSOLE
After the Senior Meta-Reviewer logs into CMT, they land on the ‘Senior Meta-Reviewer Console.’ Initially, this will be empty as no Meta-Reviewers have been assigned.
- To bid on the Meta-Reviewers, click the ‘Meta-Reviewers’ tab.
MANAGE META-REVIEWERS PAGE
In this example there are 3 Meta-Reviewers. The Senior Meta-Reviewer will place bids for the Meta-Reviewers based on the Primary and Secondary Subject Areas chosen by the Meta-Reviewers.
MANUAL BIDDING
- To enter a bid for a Meta-Reviewer, click on ‘Not Entered’ in the ‘Bid’ column; it will change into a dropdown. Select a bid value (e.g. ‘Eager’) from the dropdown. Do this for as many as required.
BULK CHANGE BID
It may be the Senior Meta-Reviewer has many Meta-Reviewers to choose from (or the bids need to be changed) but it is cumbersome to do manually. The page can be filtered by certain criterion to select only those for whom bids should be changed or placed. For this example, there will be no filtering as there are only three Meta-Reviewers.
- Select ‘Actions>Bulk Change Bid.’
- In the ensuing pop-up, select a bid (e.g. ‘Eager’) from the dropdown.
- Click ‘Save.’
All three Meta-Reviewers now have a bid of ‘Eager.’ The Chair will decide on the Assignments.
