CHAIR HOW-TO: Meta-Reviewer Add/Assign/Invite Reviewer
OVERVIEW
This document shows how to configure the settings for a Meta-Reviewer to have permissions to add a Reviewer, assign a Reviewer, and/or invite a Reviewer.
META-REVIEWER ADDS REVIEWER
This allows the Meta-Reviewer to add a user or a non-user to the conference.
Note
No automatic email will be sent to the Reviewer.
Meta-Review Settings
- Go to ‘Settings’ tab, click ‘Features>Meta-Review.’
Select:
‘Show reviewer identity to meta-reviewer’
'Allow meta-reviewer to assign submission to reviewer'
'Allow meta-reviewer to add reviewer'
then click ‘Save changes.’
Meta-Reviewer Console
The Meta-Reviewer clicks ‘Actions>Add Reviewer.’
META-REVIEWER ASSIGNS REVIEWER
The Meta-Reviewer will be allowed to assign a Reviewer to an individual paper.
Note
No automatic email will be sent to the Reviewer.

- Go to ‘Settings’ tab, click ‘Features>Meta-Review.’
Select:
‘Show reviewer identity to meta-reviewer’
‘Allow meta-reviewer to assign submission to reviewer,’
then click ‘Save changes.’
Meta-Reviewer Console
With the above settings saved, the Meta-Reviewer finds the Paper the Reviewer is to be assigned, clicks ‘More>Edit Assignments.’
META-REVIEWER INVITES REVIEWER
The Meta-Reviewer will be allowed to invite a non-Reviewer to an individual paper. The Reviewer to be invited can be a conference user that does not have the role of Reviewer.
Meta-Review Settings
- Go to ‘Settings’ tab, click ‘Features>Meta-Review.’
Select:
‘Allow inviting non-reviewer user to review submission’
then click ‘Save changes.’
Meta-Reviewer Console
With the above settings saved, the Meta-Reviewer finds the Paper the Reviewer is to be invited, clicks ‘More>Invite Reviewer.’
